SCHOOL CLUB APPLICATION

The CMSCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of chess education in Charlotte area schools. A chess teacher will be available on an equitable, rotating basis to visit all chess clubs in the greater Charlotte area. The purpose of these visits will be to provide chess instruction to club members and to share ideas with club sponsors on how to organize a successful chess club. We will support and enhance your existing club; however, we are unable to be chess club sponsors.

To have a CMSCA instructor visit your school chess club, please fill out our online application on the right in its entirety. Time slots for instruction are filled on a "first come, first served" basis, so please apply early. While we have several instructors, some time slots are more popular than others and fill up quickly. In addition, the greater flexibility you can provide in your club meeting dates and times significantly increases the opportunity for more frequent visits by the CMSCA instructor. The information requested will also assist our organization in providing support to your club.
